Project Heart

It’s 2010! Still blurry-eyed, this is a picture that I took of our living room on January 1st.

Over the holidays, there was a Christmas alarm (!), lots of feasting (aka. over-eating), catching up with family and friends, and another year of New Years Eve shenanigans followed by the traditional 3am walk into Rol Sans. – sigh… 10 days of work-free bliss!

A new year AND new decade ahead. Each year is a new year of trust in God. It’s never been easy: to be laid off from work, to learn the ropes in a new city on the other side of the world, to be heart-broken, to return home, to forge friendships, to love, to plan a wedding, to face uncertainty. But it’s been an awfully exciting ride this last decade. To think back to where I was in 2000 as a fresh grad just out of school and starting my first job, and where I am now. I don’t feel much more mature or ready for the world, heck, I hardly feel like I have the things that other people my age are suppose to have–but that’s ok, here I am. Let’s go 2010!
