Lurgs in China

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

I read Lurgee’s latest travel journal this week. Lurgs travelled with my parents and a band of seniors to China on a 2 week tour followed by 10 days in Hong Kong to visit friends and relatives. It was my dad’s very first time back to Hong Kong after immigrating to Toronto in 1968!  The best are the cartoons of my mom – bwahahaha!

It’s a small world

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

How to keep up with two blogs now? The lines are starting to blur in my head. Baby is constantly on the mind, but it’s also melded with inspiration and what I see day to day. I referenced Mary Blair in the baby blog. Have been collecting all her simple geometric drawings from ‘It’s a small world’ over the last while.

Some cheery colour for Tuesday.

* And congrats to K & JMac on their new baby boy #3!

Baby blog

Friday, January 13th, 2012

I started the baby blog last week to record all things baby. Go here to see. I’m probably forgetting a lot of things already. The months are flying by.

Isaiah 40

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

This was written (or sung) by Isaiah when the Israelites were in captivity in Babylon, in exile far from home. I actually had scanned this last October but never managed to put it up at the time. I might’ve referred to this verse before. Clung to it in 2011. Just heard another sermon on it over the weekend –

Still reminded in 2012.

They will run and not grow weary
They will walk and not be faint.

Office

Sunday, January 8th, 2012

Nevermind the baby room, I’ve had my little office on the mind for awhile. This is sketch #3 of the plans. Is it enough storage for the little closet third room? Will it work?

Dreaming of great studios.
